I fell in love with this pose during a visit with a local Giant Pacific Octopus at the Oregon Coast Aquarium where their large male had greeted me at first with eagerness and excitement

Sacred Lamprey Octopus I have been lucky enoughThis iconic eel is a revered food source for the original indigenous inhabitants of the Pacific NW and is a Tribal Trust species. It is also the favorite food of Bald Eagles in feeding their chicks. This species is anadromous meaning the are born in fresh water, and then venture out to sea and then return to fresh water again to spawn.
