Living Room doorway then as a public lodgingThe living room of Seika Dormitory sits undisturbed, furniture left where residents last arranged it, wallpaper lifting from the walls in the years after the 2007 fire displaced the building's final occupants. Built in 1927 by the Gakuso Foundation to house Taiwanese students in Bunkyo ku, Tokyo, the reinforced concrete building stood sealed for six years before its demolition in 2013.
