This can be useful for astrophotography using cameras with smaller sensors. Due to the doubled speed, the exposure time is reduced to a quarter. The reducer can be easily threaded into the 2" filter receptacle of your camera or eyepiece and can be used with sensors up to 20mm diagonally across before vignetting is introduced.
