This listing is for a SMALL higuma bear carving from the northern island of Hokkaido, made about 20 30 years ago. The texture of the fur is very finely carved, and it is depicted with a freshly caught salmon in its mouth. The bear has been fashioned from one single piece of wood and is entirely hand carved. Hokkaido bears are usually black,
