The platter has a fabulous applied rim with wonderful floral, leaf and shell motifs. The platter is marked in the center of the back with STERLING for sterling silver purity. There is also a mark on the back rim that looks like an effaced hallmark which we cannot read. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be at least
