The chalice is made in the classic coppa nuziale form, with wide bowl and tapered foot, done in rich cobalt blue glass with white beadwork and gold gilt detailing. The scene around the side, however, is not the scene on the Barovier cup, but a classical Olympian scene with various godly figures,
