SIZE CA EU 48 the archive COUNTRY OF PRODUCTION MATERIAL GermanyDESCRIPTION This jacket is of British origin, produced by Hepworths sometime in the late 1950s or early 1960s. It is made from a green and brown heavy houndstooth wool fabric from Independent Harris Tweed Producers (IHTP). IHTP was an upstart that challenged the Harris Tweed Authority (HTA) for a few years before they were sued and lost in court, eventually disappearing from the market. However, their quality was on par with the original Harris Tweed.
