The through wall fittings are constructed of PP (Polypropylene) which resists corrosion, chemicals, and rust. They install through the wall of the tank by inserting the shaft through the hole of the tank from the inside so that the fitting shaft is sticking out of the tank. A gasket seals the internal fitting as a nut is threaded onto the exposed shaft to secure it to the tank.
