This cover has no foliage slits and also has the correct WW2 ‘dragon’ teeth type stitching on the beach (brown) side

Most of the helmet was smooth when cleaned back

It has the factory stamps NS64 (Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke) and the lot number is D253

M40 #33 Beaded This cover has no foliageM40 #33 Shell: The shell is an original WW2 Model 1940 beaded example. Beaded helmets signify those that failed quality control for use as combat helmets; they were then relegated for non combat purposes: an air defence role. Little of the original paint existed on the outer due to advance rust but the original air defence decal could be seen. Much of the original paint could be seen on the inner though in poor condition. The name ARMINA FARBER was
